Guided Bear Hunts

Mark Boulton, owner of Sage River Outfitters has extensive knowledge of bear hunting and has been a bear guide since 1996. His guide services are available only during the bear season and limited in number, (six hunters per week), so please book your hunt as early as possible.

All hunts are over bait and you are guaranteed an active bait. Hunting methods include: archery, rifle, handgun and muzzleloader. License is at the hunter's expense.

Hunters are escorted to their stands on the first day of hunting unless one needs special accommodations. Help with tracking and hauling of your trophy is also provided. Referral of taxidermy and meat processing services are available. A video tape of your hunt is available for an additional fee.

Sage River Outfitters cannot with 100% certainty guarantee success; but we believe your chances are good to excellent for a successful hunt. Since 1996, our success rate has ranged from 70%, (the lowest), to 100% (the highest).
